Project Overview:
Hascol Petroleum Limited (HPL) is a growing Oil Marketing company in Pakistan was in search
of an ERP solution to automate core operations of an oil marketing company and powerful
enough to generate various management reports for better decision making. HPL, after
evaluating SAP, Oracle EBS and Microsoft Dynamics AX, had chosen JD Edwards
EnterpriseOne ERP suite and Systems Ltd as implementation partner. Successful implementation
of JD Edwards has helped HPL in meeting many immediate goals while laying solid foundation
for future growth. Modules implemented in HPL are:

Sales Order Management

Advanced Pricing

Procurement Management

Inventory Management

Bulk Stock Management

Transportation Management

HPL has divided their operation in four line of business i.e. Retail, Hi-Street, Lubricants and
Industrial business. It is required to monitor profitability by line of business, by customer and by
product. To cater their reporting needs a unique organizational structure is designed in JD
Edwards. This structure includes four notational companies with respect to line of business
which are consolidated in one parent company i.e. Hascol Petroleum. To monitor petrol pump
wise profitability a unique Business Unit is associated with each petrol which results in complete
visibility in terms of cost and revenue.
Bulk Stock Management is designed specifically for Oil & Gas Industry that handles the
entire downstream bulk product supply and demand complexities. Our proposed solution enabled
HPL to:

Control all types of product movement, including intra-depot stock movements, such as
tank-to-tank transfers, re-brands, decanting, blending, and filling.

Pinpoint inventory gains and losses before they become significant with flexible
reconciliation capabilities.

Automatically record inventory gains and losses occurs due to temperature variations.
