3.1

ANALYSIS

3.1.1 Dividing A Pavement Section Into Sample Units


Length of the pavement, L = 1500m
Width of the pavement, W = 3.85m
Area = 2500ft2 = 232.26m2
L x W = Area
L = Area / W
L = 232.26/3.85 = 60m
Therefore, length of sample unit = 60m
N = 1500m / 60m = 25
n = 10 ( from Figure 4: Selection of the minimum number of sample units)
i = N/n
= 25/10
= 2.5 3

60m @ 25 = 1500m
