Yes, I do agree that there are many changes that has can be considered as an

indicator of Canada becoming more socialist. Three major reasons for this
statement could be true are as following:
1. Several social programs
There are several social programs designed by Canadian government for
supporting and upliftment of society. This includes housing schemes,
employment insurance, old age security, child care benefit program etc.
Many of these programs promotes equal distribution of money, for example,
according to recent changes in Canada Child Benefit program, there will be
boost in benefit received for poor families and decrease in benefit payment
for rich families. Before, the benefit was given irrespective of income level.
2. Department and agencies
There are various department and agencies that have been created by
government in diffrenct sectors like agriculture and agri-food Canada, Atomic
energy of Canada limited, Canadian environmental assessment agency,
Canadian food inspection agency etc. All these institutions oversee and
control various factors which can harm society.
3. Human and social rights
Government of Canada has laid a numerous right which empowers individual
to participate and influence major decision which could affect society as a
whole for example, democratic rights, freedom of religion and expression,
legal rights, and equality rights etc. All these right not only allows individual
to become a part of society at national level but also provides protection and
equality.
