How to use SmartVPN Client Utility to dial in Vigor2130 through

IPSec Tunnel?

A. Configuration for Vigor2130 IPSec Remote Dial-in VPN


1. Access into the Web Configuration Interface of Vigor2130. Open VPN and Remote Access>>IPSec
Remote Dial-In.

2. IPSec Remote Dial-In page will be shown as follows:

3. In the field of Mobile VPN type, please choose Dynamic VPN(IPSec) from the drop down list.
4. Type 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 (in default) for Local Network/Mask.
5. In the field. Of Authentication, please type Shared secret and re-type for confirmation.
6. Click OK to save the configuration.

B. Settings on SmartVPN Client


1. Run SmartVPN Client Utility. In the dialog, please click Insert for adding a new VPN connection.

2. Dial To VPN page is shown as follows:

3. In the field of Profile Name, please type the name for the VPN connection.
4. In the field of VPN server IP/Host name, type the WAN IP address of Vigor2130.
5. As for the Type of VPN, choose IPSec Tunnel. Click OK to open the following page.

6. In the field of My IP, please choose the IP address for current network card.
7. In the Type of IPSec, choose Standard IPSec TunnelType local subnet (192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0) of
Vigor2130 in the fields of Remote Subnet/ Remote Subnet Mask.
8. Choose High (ESP) as Security Method and choose 3DES.
(Note: The encryption of 3DES with Authentication is required because Vigor2130 supports 3DES only.)
9. Click and type Pre-shared key. Then, click OK to save the configuration.

C. Check IPSec Remote Dial-in VPN Connection

After finishing the configurations, please click Connect to carry out IPSec Remote Dial-in VPN
connection.

If the connection is successful, you will see the following screen:

Access into the Web Configuration Interface of Vigor2130. Open VPN and Remote Access>>Remote
Dial-in Status. Observe the VPN connection status in the field of IPSec Site-to Client Status.
