THEODOR SUESS

Theodor Seuss Geisel was born on March 2, 1904, in Springfield,


Massachusetts, to Theodor Robert Geisel, a successful brew master,
and Henrietta Seuss Geisel. While at Oxford, he met his future wife,
Helen Palmer, whom he married in 1927. Theodor Seuss Geisel was
an American writer, cartoonist, animator, book publisher, and artist
best known for authoring popular children's books under the pen
name Dr. Seuss. Theodor Seuss Geisel, best known as Dr. Seuss,
died on September 24, 1991, at the age of 87, in La Jolla, California.
