What would be the environmental impact of this plant?

How could it be designed to minimise the discharge of potentially

damaging materials?
The environmental impact due to the production of the catalyst, although it is not
produced by this plant, the amount required (and hence the amount required to
be produced) will be directly affected by our chosen plant specifications. During
phosphoric acid production Phosphogypsum (PG) wastes are produced 5 tonnes
per 1 tonne of phosphoric acid produced (Sciencedirect.com, 2016). PG contains
gypsum as well as high concentrations of impurities that can have large
environmental consequences. This is made worse by the fact that only 15% of PG
produced is recycled.
The energy usage in producing the heat transfer fluid, compression of storage
liquids, and the pumping of the streams will require fuels to be burned. This
process will release oxides of carbon sulphur and nitrogen, giving rise to acid
rain, Greenhouse gas emission etc.
