1. What are the conventions of game show theme tunes?

There are many conventions of game show theme tunes. They are always upbeat
and catchy. Most theme tunes have sound effects in them. These sound effects
could be audiences applause or the sound of buzzers used in the game show.
2. Describe the theme tune you created in yesterdays lesson?
The theme tune we created yesterday was upbeat. It sounded kind of
Egyptian/Asian. There was a base in the background that went on for the whole
duration; the base was upbeat. Then there was a beat which was also upbeat
which fitted in well with the base. A flute then came in which gave it the Asian
effect.
3. Was it suitable for your game show that you created into the exam?
Not really as my game show was Family Battles so that should have sound
effects in (applause, buzzer). Instead the tune we made had a different effect
(Asian).
4. What would you do differently next time?
I would add in sound effects. I would also make the duration longer as the one
we made yesterday only went on for about 10 seconds.
