Keeli Comitos Student Teacher Weekly Log

September 26-30
1. How did you spend your time this week? What responsibilities did you have?
This was my first week bell to bell teaching, and I loved it! I finally feel like I am where I am
supposed to be. It will be even better when I have a classroom of my own that is decorated and
started by me. I am learning a lot about planning. PLCs are great when they are used effectively
and efficiently.

2. What were the most satisfying experiences? Greatest challenge(s)?

I have been meeting a lot of other people in the building due to the behavior issues that have
presented themselves in our classroom. It is a positive to know that there are lots of support roles
throughout the school. Seminar was also great this week because we all got a chance to just talk to
each other about what is going on in our classrooms and have others present ideas on how they
have handled similar situations.
I would say the challenge is getting used to the all day teaching experience. It is a lot different than
10 hours here and there for a practicum. You have to be at the top of your game all day or you can
completely lose the kids. It has definitely been a learning experience for me.

3. What are the plans for the upcoming week? Best times (2-3) to observe?
I will be teaching full time next week, so you are welcome to come and observe any time you like.
