Suspense Analytical Paragraph
In the story the elevator the suspense builds at the end of the book when the old lady
says hello, Martinshe said, and laughed, and pushed the Stop button. Some of the ways the
author creates suspense is by one stopping the story halfway through, you may ask why this
creates suspense? Well the author has the creepy old lady say hello martin but he never told
her his name. The last why the author creates suspense is through repetition by every time
martin is alone on the elevator she enters and stares at him.
