Date: 19/7/2013 To whom it may concern, Iam writing this letter to provide reference for Holly Pender, Holly attended the centre in which I work, UWS Early Learning Penrith, for several visits and also a block period of two weeks to complete her practicum. During her time here I found Holly to be a courteous, reliable and honest teacher. She quickly and easily became a part of our staff team and was an active contributor to all aspects of the room, always showing clear initiative, During her time here Holly was able to take in depth observations of individual and small groups of children. She was then able to use the interpretations of these observations to implement engaging and purposeful experiences for the children within the room, covering all aspects of development. Holly was in tune to the children's needs, strengths and interests and was able to respond to these accordingly. Holly was also in charge of completing the programming and planning for the entire pre-school room for a two week period. During this time Holly displayed a fantastic ability to program and plan for the larger group of children, as well as implement projects based upon the children's interest. Holly's written work during this time was also of a very high standard and she produced aesthetically pleasing and informative day book entries each day. During her time here Holly was able to constantly reflect upon her practices and find ways to improve her teaching and skills, She formed close relationships with all staff and children and is still regularly referred to and talked about by staff and children in regards to her enthusiastic, kind personality and her exceptional work standard. Holly would be an asset to any employer and I wish her the best of luck in her future. If you would like to discuss anything further please don't hesitate to contact me on 0432 417 184. Kind regards, Nicole Bartle Early Childhood Teacher UWS Early Learning Penrith
