I asked students question about memory they have and I let them write on their whiteboards then I assess their understanding and writing.

After students learned about different kinds of animals and plants I gave them a mid-term quiz to assess them.
Use brainstorm (formative assessment)
After the students learned about the desert I used brainstorm technique to check students understanding about different kinds of animals and plants; I let them write all the kinds of animals and plants in the desert and write one sentence for each.
On going assessment (Formative assessment)
After the students leaned about the comparatives I let them work on their activity book and I used it as assessment (individual assessment).
