Enough talking and start demonstrating

1 Corinthians 4:20 NIV

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.

Gospel is not hearing nice sermon but its a demonstration of God's power

What are these?

1. Power to say no to sin

Titus 2:12 NIV
It teaches us to say No to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live selfcontrolled, upright and godly lives in this present age,

2. Power nga dili na mangutang and power to become generous

Psalm 37:25-26 NIV

I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken
or their children begging bread. [26] They are always generous and lend
freely; their children will be a blessing.

3. Power to excel in every way (studies, ministry, work, sports, etc (kung asa
ka gibutang ni Lord))

Luke 2:52 NIV

And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.

4. Power to heal the sick and raise the dead

Matthew 10:8 NIV

Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out
demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

5. Inexpressible power (dili madescribe)

Colossians 2:9-10 NIV

For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, [10] and in Christ
you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and
authority.

When Jesus was questioned by John about His messiahship, He said:

Matthew 11:4-5 NIV

Jesus replied, Go back and report to John what you hear and see: [5] The
blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the
deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor.

When Paul's apostleship was being questioned by the Corinthians, he said:

2 Corinthians 12:12 NIV

I persevered in demonstrating among you the marks of a true apostle,
including signs, wonders and miracles.

If ever we were questioned about if we are really Jesus' disciples, what would
be our response?
