Evaluative Statement
I chose the first Honors Essay as a work sample because it was a new experience for me.
Between all my science and math classes, writing narratives isnt a common assignment, so I
assumed that I wouldnt enjoy this assignment; but, I really enjoyed this assignment, it was fun
to create a character and have her live, think, and grow like a real person. I also felt I did way
better on this assignment than my second essay, I waited too late to complete the assignment so I
dont think the quality is very high. I dont know how I can relate a paper on immigrants to a
potential career as a doctor, but I hope that Ill be able to create personal narratives for my
entertainment in the future. By completing this assignment, I learned more about the polish
community and how to find and use primary sources like historical articles.
