Commercial Driver Medical Tests &

Occupational (Commerical) Driver Permits

All commercial drivers who renew their drivers

license will need a medical test and an
Occupational Drivers Permit. The RTA internet
www.rta.ae shows the drivers this policy will first
apply to.

Below are the steps that companies should take.

Please Note: This policy starts on 20 September
2013 and applies when commercial drivers renew
their drivers license.

Steps for Companies

1. Register for Online access to your vehicle
and driver records.
Go to www.rta.ae, select Drivers &
Vehicles icon, select Log In to Profile,
then New User.
You will receive a UserID & Pasword to
access your companys RTA records.
2. Link your driver/s to your company.
Go to www.rta.ae , select Drivers &
Vehicles icon, press User Manual and
see Link Drivers.
3. Arrange a medical test with a RTA approved
doctor company.
Approved companies are listed on the
RTA Internet site.
4. Purchase Occupational Drivers Permit that
is only available Online
Go to www.rta.ae select Drivers and
Vehicle icon, press User Manual
Purchase Commercial Drivers Permit
Online payment is with a credit card or
eWallet. See User Manual on this site for
creating an eWallet if you wish.
