observation reflection:
In 11th of November I taught a lesson for grade 3 about multiplication. It included with
classroom rules, clear objectives which was demonstrate the concept of multiplication as
repeated addition by drawing equal groups of objects. I started with review the last operations
that the students studied before, which are the addition and subtraction. Then I introduced the
sign of multiplication and I ask students to represent it by their hands. After that I recited a story
about my dad journey and the apples in bags. Following that, I gave an example on the board and
then I distributed worksheets and asked the students to apply the balls and the baskets to find out
the sum of repeated addition. I saw how the students were exited to try and apply the tools to
discover the answer.

The core of the lesson was supplied the exploring and using of the tangible materials. That
helped students interact and facilitate the multiplication operation by simply it and link it with
their prior knowledge or something is familiar to them such as the addition operation.
Furthermore, I have been used various of learning strategies to deliver the notion of
multiplication such as using balls, baskets, clay, PPT, visual pictures, so what I observed is that
most of the students did comprehend and identified the multiplication.

My peer suggested to apply more individual work that will be helpful more than work in groups,
I agreed with her but what happened is that I put the students in small groups which consisted of
three students, as at the end of the session in close part there was a assessment for each students.
However, for the next time I will verify the work in core part that each student can be tried.
