Dear Mr Bansal,
We are pleased to confirm that you have been accepted to pursue a short project on the upgrade of the ATLAS
experiment for the period 7th May, 2015 to 7th July, 2015 and in the Istituto de Fsica de Altas Energas (IFAE), on
the campus of the Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona. Your project will be undertaken under the guidance of
Professor Sebastian Grinstein.
We also confirm that you will be granted a scholarship of 1,000 per o th. This fi a cial support will allow you to
pay for your cost-of-living and travel. You can easily find and book a student housing near the university campus by
yourself in advance.

You are kindly requested to take care of the following travel arrangements:

Student visa for Spain. Very important: all visa applications must be submitted at the Spanish Embassy or
Consulate with jurisdiction over your place of residence. Please note that it may take up to 3 months to
process your application.
Return air ticket India-Barcelona.
Travel health insurance for the duration of your stay.

Before the end of your stay, we would like to receive a short report (up to 3 pages) concerning these topics:
The work/project you developed at IFAE; Whether you received the needed resources (lab, advice, devices
etc.); New things that you learned at IFAE; If you would do this again; Your career plan/draft after the
master thesis.
