It took 33 years to build St.

Pauls Cathedral in London but

today, on our homepage in the U.K, it happens in a matter of
seconds. Completed in 1720, the cathedral is considered to be
English architect Christopher Wrens magnum opus. But, with a
portfolio featuring British landmarks like the Royal Observatory
of Greenwich and Kensington Palace, Wrens legacy stands tall
throughout England. Happy 382nd birthday to Christopher
Wren!

For her 108th birthday, a portrait of German political theorist

Hannah Arendt appears on our homepage in several countries
around the world. Often described as a philosopher, Arendt
rejected the label, saying that her work focused on the fact that
"men, not Man, live on the earth and inhabit the world" as
opposed to philosophy, which she felt focused on man in the
singular. She is best remembered for her book, The Human
Condition, which explores the historical development of
humanity.
