To Whom It May Concern:
Jam writing a reference letter for Megan Hurlbert. It is my understanding that she is applying for a position at
your facility.
Thave had the opportunity to know Megan since August of 2014 within various Early Childhood Education
courses. In all courses, Megan provided detailed, knowledgeable information within class discussions and on
assignments. I witnessed Megan's writing and verbal abilities within these two courses and know, based on her
assignments and collaborations with others, she is above average in both areas. Other students within Megan's
courses looked to her for guidance and help, of which Megan was always willing to accommodate.
‘Megan has always demonstrated leadership, knowledge, maturity, flexibility, and compassion within all of her
courses. She also demonstrated a professional, caring attitude with her colleagues and professors. She was
‘open to growth and accepted constructive criticism well. Knowing the diverse population she will be serving,
Megan has also attended several mission trips, serving third world children and families. She understands the
‘commitment and the resources so many children need for a successful education. Megan’s commitment to her
studies and to the program overall is to be commended.
Thave also witnessed Megan’s ability to teach preschool-aged children, Because of her ability to relate, teach,
and work with young children, along with working with parents using a professional and open standpoint, I
have asked her to care for my own children during times of need. My children loved having Megan as their
babysitter, knowing she would spend quality time with them, engaged in meaningful, yet fun activities.
Megan is an exemplary student overall. highly recommend Megan for this position. She was a wonderful
asset to the university as well as the community, I wish her well in her future endeavors.
If you have any other questions regarding Megan or her abilities, please contact me at (60S) 688-5989 or via e-
