Preliminary Incidents
Serring:
It was October in the farm
Character: Cristy, Auring, Carding, Boyet, Tiya Marcel, and Tiyu Gorio.
Event Leading ti the Development of the Story:
It was when Auring invited Cristy to spend a few days of her semestral
vacation at their farm in Catn-agan.
B. Rising Incidents
It was then when Cristy found out that the stream had no water except that
which was caught in the little pools for it was summer. She got disappointed
becasue it was not the same when she got there the first time.
When Tiya Marcel and Auring were preparing the meal, Cristy went out of the
house and saw the harshness of summer to the farm. She saw few scraggly
chickens and ducks, four emaciated dogs, the tired and thirsty mountain
under the burning heat, and shriveled trees in the farm.
When they finished eating the meal, Tiyu Gorio talked about problems in the
farm with Cristy and Carding.
C. Climax
Carding told his Tatay not to defend for income for palay waits for the rains.
He told his Tatay that he will see there are other sources of income in the
farm besides palay.
Carding took Cristy to the stream for a bathe. While Cristy bathing, Carding
went to look for Apat-apat. After the bathe he took her to the waterfalls and
told her that You do not see the water in all parts of the stream, but there is
still water at your finger tips. Carding pointed to the trees that his tatay and
lolo planted and shared his past life in the farm. They hold each other hand
tightly and then carding told her that the Kagang only hides under the stones
during summer time.

D. Dalling Incidents
Cristy and Carding went home to have supper early that evening. They had
stewed bangus with apat-apat leaves which was collected by Carding. But
both of them did not have slice of fish. They were teased by Auring. After
their suffer, Cristy and Auring went to the santol tree.
E. Ending/Resolution
At the santol tree, Cristy and Auring talked about how there is no fireflies on
the talisay tree. She felt sad and thenm Auring left. Then Carding sat with her.
Crusty talked about how stars looked like fireflies. Carding asked her where
she will work and told her that she should come visit the farm again because

he shall invite her soon. Cristy said she will wait then they both returned to
Cardings house.
