MINARET (MOSQUE TOWER).

- It's a tall tower that is located


in a corner of the mosque. It's the highest point of the
mosque. It has one or more balconies, from which the
muezzin calls the people to prayer.

QIBLA.- It's a direction. The direction of the Mecca. All the


muslims face to this direction when they are praying.
MIMBAR.- It's the place in the mosque where the prayer
leader delivers the sermons . It's a pulpit, a small tower with
a platform, a pointed roof and stairs. It's located to the
right of mihrab.
MIHRAB.- It's a semicircular niche in the wall of a mosque
that indicates the qibla (the direction of the Mecca)

PRAYER HALL.-IT's a large and open space that contains the


mihrab and the mimbar. There isn't furniture

COURTYARD.- It's a large and central yard . It surrounds by


arcades on all sides. It contains the fountain
FOUNTAIN.- It's located in the courtyard. A ritual purification
precedes all prayer, the muslims use the fountain for
washing before pray.
