Administration
CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER (CIO)
CIOs need broad knowledge of all
aspects of IT. They must have strong
analytical, strategic planning and
communication skills. The ability to
collaborate effectively with other senior
managers in order to define, articulate
and champion the ways in which technology requirements relate to the firms
business is critical. A bachelors degree
in computer science, information systems or a related area is expected, and
a masters degree is often required by
employers. CIOs typically have at least
10 years of managerial experience in IT,
though larger firms may require more.
Typical duties include:
Developing and directing the firms
overall IT strategy
Working closely with other senior
management, including the chief
executive officer, chief technology officer, chief operations officer and chief
financial officer, to coordinate data
systems policies and procedures

The vice president of information
technology position requires a proven
track record of leadership in technology management, including excellent
communication, analytical and organizational skills. A bachelors degree in
computer science or a related field and
