NATURE OF ACTIVITY:
ENGLISH CULMINATING ACTIVITY
THEME:
WHEN / WHERE: November 2016 / MNHS Covered Court
OBJECTIVES:
1. To expose learners to different competitions that will develop their
language/communication skills
2. To promote the value of reading through story-telling/role-playing
activities.
3. To develop a sense of camaraderie among learners, and a positive
attitude towards learning the English language.

Extemporaneous Speaking
Mechanics:
1. Each section will choose one representative to compete with
other sections.

2. The finalists will stay in an isolated place where they will be

asked to put on ear plugs for them not to hear the answers of
other contestants.
3. Each contestant is given 5 minutes to prepare, and 3 minutes
to deliver the answer.
4. They are not allowed to bring cue cards during the
presentation.
5. All the participants will be given certificate of participation.
Three winners will be chosen.

1. Each section will choose one representative to compete with
other sections.
2. The piece which will be used for this contest will be
distributed/announced on November 4.
3. Three winners will be chosen.
