iv.Theschemeaimedtoprovideairservicesbetweenunservedandunderservedareasandispartoflarger
planstoboostthedomesticaviationsector,whichisclockingover20percentpassengergrowthoverthelast
severalmonths.
v.AlargenumberofincentiveswerebeingproposedunderRCS,includingRs.2,500caponairfareforone
hourflights.TheairlinesoperatingflightsunderRCSwouldbeextendedaviabilitygapfunding(VGF),whilethestatesconcernedarerequiredto
offercertainconcessionssuchasprovidingpoliceandfireservicesfreeofcost.

SBIofferedHopeLoansatreducedinterestrates
i.SBIannouncedthelaunchofaspecialfinancingschemeHopeLoans,underwhichcustomerscouldavailcreditfacilityatlowerrates.
ii.HopeLoanscomeswiththeaddedbenefitofreducedinterestratesthatSBIhasjustannouncedduetothereductioninthemarginal
costoflendingrate(MCLR).
iii.OnanRs.50lakhhomeloan,forexample,onewouldgettosaveapproximately3.5lakhfora30yeartenorcomparedtothe
sameperiodlastyear..
iv.WiththereductioninMCLR,theeffectiveinterestrateforhomeloanswouldbe9.25percentforwomenand9.30percentformen
andforautoloans,itwouldbe9.65percentrespectively.
