Essential Question: what are some of the things that recruiters face that cause stress when they
are working
Working thesis: recruiters can have stress inducing times at work
Refined Thesis: there are many different stress inducing things at a school that recruiters have to
deal with like students just passing them or ignoring them because they think that the military is
just people going off to war in the front lines.

The article explains how that the military can offer more than just a role in the front lines
and combat to people who join the military. In the article it's said Without even making eye
contact, one student walked straight past a recruiter and said, "Sorry, I don't feel like dying."
There are many different jobs that the military. Like electricians food preparation and a wide
rang of many other options

The article mentions that how most of the military recruiters are hard working honest
individuals that put in more hours than most military personnel and that there is still the hole
thing about recruiters lying and all of the horror stories about them . in the article it says I
should also mention here that, in many cases, "lies" told by a recruiter are actually cases of
selected listening by recruits. A recruiter may say, "Many of our bases now have single rooms for
most people," and the applicant may hear, "You are definitely not going to have a roommate."

Recruiters also have to worry about making their quota on how many people the get in
monthly and this article talks about how that the quota has gone down in the past few years. The
number of new recruits is starting to increase because the lowering of the standers to join the
military.The bad news is twofold. First, the number of Category IV recruits is starting to
skyrocket. Second, a new study compellingly demonstrates that, in all realms of military activity,
intelligence does matter. Smarter soldiers and units perform their tasks better; dumber ones do
theirs worse.
