This paper highlights the most important archaeological finds discovered by a team from the Archaeology and Museums Agency, Ministry of Education, during three survey seasons. The finds include items left by the inhabitants of the area or by people passing through in Caravans. The items have been found, to the north of a-Madina, in Wadi al-Nogmi, Wadi Mibelel, and Wadi Mithyyiel: to the south, in the blessed Wadi al-/Agieq: and finally the area spreading west of al-Madina. This collection has been the result of surveys, recordings, and authentication of a large number of archaeological sites known since ancient times up to the present.The al-Madina ‘important religious status contributed to its becoming a caravan station since ancient pre-Islamic times and during the Islamic periods owing to its location on the road of Haj caravans. The paper presents examples of urban stone constructions, various types of palaces overlooking farms, irrigation dams and canals, in addition to various rock drawings which include images of humans, camels, cows, deer, astriches, horses, branding relating to locals and (0 those of caravans, and some graffitti and Kufi inscriptions.
