Procedure

1. For No Process: the data and the psychrometric chart were printed in order
to read the initial properties of the air as it enters the air-conditioning unit.
2. Next, for Sensible Heating:
I.
A 1 kW pre-heater was switched on and waited for 5 minutes. After
that, the data and the psychrometric chart were printed.
II.
Then, the 0.5 kW pre-heater was switched on and waited for 5
minutes. The data and psychrometric chart were printed.
III.
In this process, the temperature rise of the air at the exit was
calculated.
3. For Steam Humidification, all the water heaters were switched on to boil
the water. As the steam was produced, only 3 kW of heat was switched on
in order to maintain the steam and waited for 5 minutes. Then, the data
and psychrometric chart were printed. After that, the amount of the steam
introduced, the change in relative humidity, and the corresponding rise of
temperature were calculated.
4. For the Cooling and Dehumidification Process, the compressor of the
refrigeration system was switched on. The air was cooled at the range 18
C to 20 C which is suitable temperature. 5 minutes was taken after the
temperature was stable. Then, the data and psychrometric chart were
printed. The heat rate and amount of the moisture removed from the air
were calculated. During experiment, the time and the rate of condensation
(100 ml) from the beginning of the cooling process (stable temperature)
were measured. The analysis then was compared.
