The data set that I decided to use came from The World Bank.

This site collected

data over several years including the number of terrorist related incidents and the
number of terrorist caused deaths. I took the years of 2004 to 2008 because 2004
was the first year after the war started in Afghanistan and 2008 was the last year
they had data collected. This data shows two things. First, the number of terrorists
related incidents as increase each year that Afghanistan has been occupied by
American forces, although it doesnt prove that these two things are related.
Second, this data shows that the amount of terrorist caused deaths has increased
each year, which is in direct correlation to the amount of terrorism incidents. This
data set relates to my topic because it shows what the United States government is
trying to counteract in this country by means of traditional warfare as well as drone
warfare. Although this data does not actually relate directly to my topic of the
ethical questions related to the decision to use drone warfare and the effects on
those asked to carry it out, this data is tangentially related due to the war it is
talking about and reasons we are having the drone debate.
