WHAT HAS YOUR NATION BEEN UP TO?

DUE 2/14/14
Each of you is part of a nation that contributes to our study and to European
history.
You have compiled lists of isms and EPIDeMiCS work and now you must
begin a long process that culminates in a thorough report on your nation.
You must do ALL of the following:
1. A timeline of your nation from 1450 1900. Include:
Monarchs or other ruler(s)
Wars (ALL that your nation had any role in)
Political/social/economic/religious/ideological/industrial upheavals
or change
2. Pertaining to #1: be sure to amplify those answers in an expanded
format. (PP, Essay)
Monarchs listed on the outline are fine, but include dates of life
and reign.
Who were the wars against? Why were they fought?
What caused the upheavals? What affect did it have on the
nation?
3. A completion of the isms list. CORRECTLY identify the isms
that affect your nation and EXPLAIN HOW the ism does so.
4. In eight paragraphs; what impact did your nation have on Europe
up to 1900? Pick THE MOST IMPORTANT impact. Develop a thesis
and PROVE it!

For #1-3 you have free reign on how you present it. It can be in Power point,
Website, long, long sheets of paper, whatever.
For #4, well that is pretty self-explanatory. These will be PRESENTED to the
class on 2/14. Each group MUST have electronic copies of their work (unless
they draw their timeline) to share with the other groups. This is so you can
look it over while on winter vacation.
