if only Jack had paid attention to these
red flags waving in his face over the past
few months, hed know that his beloved

LACK OF SEX. Okay, this is a biggie.
Every time Jack wanted to get his groove
on, Phyllis put him off by citing work,
headache or any of a million other excuses! Once maybe, but three or
four times, Jack? Seriously?
NEED FOR PRIVACY. Given that

walls are closing in. What
we were seeing during
those scenes when he was
talking to his vision of Carlos was Julians own guilt.
Desperation and guilt are

the only things that could
have led him down so
dark a path!
That said, things might
get worse before they get
better. Despite literally
having stabbed her husband in the back after he
attempted to kill her, Alexis cant help but nd herself feeling torn. I urge
people to keep watching,
says Passanante of the
twists yet to unfold. This
is a soap opera, and that
means nothing is ever the
end of the story!

There are a lot of questions brewing on DAYS OF OUR LIVES this

week. What is Aiden up to? Is Nicoles heart being torn in two
directions? And most important of all, who kidnapped Theresa
and Bradys child, and will he be safely returned?
The In Depth Story: For a

while there, it looked as if
Summer was responsible
for Tates abduction. But
now that she seems to be
in the clear, the need to
find the child becomes
even more intense. After
all, he could be anywhere,
with anyone and that includes more than a few unsavor y people! (Lets not
forget that the tots been
kidnapped before: Kristen
DiMera ripped the unborn
baby boy right out of Theresas uterus and took him
out of the country!)
Although Brady has
eyed Victor with suspicion, Maggie and her husband wind up receiving
some good news this
week. Could it be related
to the search for Tate?
Later, Theresa has a
dream which just might
provide a few clues to her
missing childs location.
And after John gets a lead
on the case, he and Brady
nd themselves with several burning questions to
ask Deimos! How will Nicole who has been seeing another side to Deimos react if he turns
out to be the kidnapper?

own fashion and jewelry lines. She even
recently took it up a notch by opening
her own retail store called Daisy Coun-
try a nod to the iconic character she

created on THE DUKES OF HAZZARD
in Nashville. So many people have
asked me over the years to get involved
in doing a store, but it just seemed like a
lot of work! says Bach. Whatever I do,
I want to get involved.
Ben Jones, who played Cooter on
DUKES and owns three stores that offer nostalgic merchandise reecting the
wildly popular TV show, and his wife,
Alma, eventually persuaded Bach to
wade into the retail industry. Partnering
with the Joneses meant opening the
store in Music City, but the Los Angelesbased performer says that she
would have chosen that location
regardless. I have a lot of afnity for Nashville. I go back there
three or four times a year and am
always being asked to do things
like host the Grand Ole Opry or
do a talk or radio show. Its my
home away from home, so I
thought Id throw my hat in the
ring and have some fun!

little squirrel. He had so much fun
that he came back the next day!

from the Daisy Duke shorts to denim
jeans and skirts that Bach manufacturers herself to T-shir ts and tops
(fashion and touristy), jewelr y and
nostalgic Duke coffee mugs, posters
and trinkets. Im starting out small,
but if it continues to do well, Id like to
put in a soda fountain where people
can sit and eat and drink, she shares.
I want this to be a community and
have people enjoy it. But Ive got more
ideas up my sleeve!

being an actor, one might think of

THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS star
Steve Burton (Dylan), one of the biggest bonuses is the war veterans who
make up a large part of his fan base.
Almost every job that I have done,
Ive played a military guy, so I always
get people in the military coming up
to me and saying thanks, he reveals.
Dylan is a character who has done
ser vice, and is really an homage to
veterans. The character has not
been unscathed by war, either, which
Burton says is one of the things many
ser vice members find relatable. I
have people saying to me, I had a little PTSD, he shares. I have such
respect for those guys and gals, and
the sacrice that theyve made for us.

sure we have our freedom!

Rikaart, who plays tech-savvy Kevin, takes it all in stride.
Television since its advent has been in a constant state of
metamorphosis, he reminds. Think [back to] how there
were only a couple of stations where people watched TV
in black-and-white. Then somewhere down the road it
became color, and then we got VCRs so we could watch
VHS tapes, and then we started watching DVDs, and now
DVRs. Its constantly evolving, and I think whatever innovation comes next wont be the last, either!

SHE SAID: Oh, gosh. He likes to have
fun during a scene. A lot of the Bill-isms
that people really enjoy come straight from
him. We do a lot of joking around during
rehearsals a lot of off-color joking
around. It can be very locker-room, second-grade humor. Potty humor.
Is it true that, at some point, one of you

mooned the other?
HE SAID: That is true! When Katie was
locked in the tower, they did a shot of her

looking up at me, and what she got was
my bare ass. Actually, it was sort of pathetic, because my back was completely
out that day. I was really in a lot of pain.
However, I started to laugh, and my back
was already hurting, and so the laughing
just dropped me to the oor. So that moon
over Malibu moment cost me big time!
But it was hysterical.

Heather would never put up with the things

that Katie has had to put up with, says
Diamont. Heather would not in any remote
way be a doormat. But when Katie is at her
strongest and best, thats very much Heather.
SHE SAID: Oh yes. Hes mooned me
several times! The most notable was when

Katie was trapped in the tower at [executive producer and headwriter] Brad Bells
house in Malibu. They needed me to look
out the window towards another window of
the house, so I turned around, and theres
Dons white butt, pressed right against the
window. He couldnt get his pants back up
because hed thrown his back out. So,
serves him right!
Anything your co-star gives you a hard

timeabout?
HE SAID: How exceptionally good-look-
ing I am? (Laughs.) What could she possibly give me a hard time about? Im sure she
would tell you Im perfect!
SHE SAID: Boy, we give each other a
hard time about a lot of things. I can be an
old woman, coming to the set saying This
hurts! or That hurts! Hell often just look
at me and say, Okay, what hurts today?
Anything you were really surprised to discoverabouteachother?
HE SAID: I guess I was kind of surprised
when I learned how athletic she is. I didnt

realize she was a runner and a cyclist until
HE SAID: She has such beautiful design

sensibilities, because she has her own interior design business. Her fashion sense is
wonderful as well.
SHE SAID: Well, he is a very fashionable
man. Hes always put together. These days,
however, he is invariably wearing something with IU [Indiana University] on it,
because thats where his son [Alexander]
goes to college. I think he bought out the
entire wardrobe section of the campus
bookstore.
Tom says her 3-year-old son, Zane, who plays Will, is a big fan of
Diamonts. He loves him. Ive taken him over to Dons house so Zane
can relate to Uncle Don in a positive way, especially when they
have scenes together. Although now, Zane calls him, Uncle Don in
the scenes, and they have to cut that out [in the editing room].
I came on B&B, so I didnt know she had
that competitive side of her, which does not
translate to pop-a-shot basketball, by the
way! Weve got to work with her on that.
SHE SAID: He has a very interesting life
story. Hes had a lot of tragedy, and hes
had to overcome a lot, but hes done so
gracefully. Hes really stepped up to the
plate, responsibility-wise, for his family.
That doesnt really surprise me, but its
something you wouldnt necessarily know
about somebody.

probably a little
bit more of a
party girl. Not in
a way that
compromised
her work, but
like all kids are,
says Diamont.
She was just a
baby when I
met her, and
now shes a wife
and a mom. Ive
really watched
her mature.

SHE SAID: We have a really good relationship, and he has my back with a lot of
things, not just professionally. Hes one of
those people who, if I really needed help or

the amount of people that I really feel that
way about.

of what the first few months of motherhood are
like. I know she has her hands full with her own
baby, so it was so sweet of her to come.

Guests were each asked to bring a book to start Haydens library collection, Jones explains. It was a really sweet little gesture. A lot of

Even the linen napkins featured gold-embossed

elephants in keeping with the days theme! Guests enjoyed safari-themed
cocktails and hors doeuvres during cocktail hour, says Jones. I enjoyed my
favoritemocktailof Sprite, soda water and lime juice.
ANIMALS IN THE CENTERPIECES
In terms of the details, says Jones, no stone

was left unturned!That includes these whimsical centerpieces that featured toy animals to
create a jungle diorama (and which were
guessing the newborns big brother, Huck, may
have added to his toy collection afterwards!).
NUMBERED NOTE CARDS
There were so many sentimental surprises throughout the day, says Jones. Each
guest was asked to write the baby a birthday message on custom note cards numbered with the years of his life [from 1-35].
They each wrote humorous tidbits or
words of wisdom that were sealed for him to open each year and which
will makeMamacry, Im sure!
TEAPOT FLORAL ARRANGEMENT
High tea was served indoors, and Jones says the small guest list gave her an
opportunity to sit and chat with everyone who
came.It was all very ladylike and proper, with an
interesting juxtaposition of themes, says Jones. I
really felt like I was having high tea in South Africa
on a safari!
CAKE
Even this five-tiered animal-print cake included

an unexpected surprise. When they cut it, says
Jones,there was zebra-print cake on the inside!

Jones hubby, Joel Henricks, and her
stepson, Huck, 3, arrived at the tail end of the
soiree to help pack up all the presents. I really
wanted Huck to be able to see a little of it, but
I think he was a bit overwhelmed at having so
much attention from so many women! Huck is
clearly the spitting image of his daddy, and
Jones says his little brother is, too! My
husband does not see it as much, but everyone
says Hayden looks just like Huck.

place it blew my mind! Since the boys are old enough to
appreciate thrill rides and 3-D effects, Gering took them on
the Harry Potter And The Forbidden Journey ride twice!

a broom and being transported to other worlds where
youre trying to get away from the dragon and the flames

DAYS scribes are continuing to write to
his strengths and allowing him to infuse
some levity into a character that frequently faces dark circumstances. In
my mind, to not enjoy every day is criminal. People get so wrapped up in things
that are meaningless, he insists. I
dont subscribe to that. As clichd as it
sounds, I really tr y and just live each
day to the fullest.

Gering hopes to work more with A Martinez, so its great to have the
potential for Rafe and Eduardo to move forward in their relationship and

tale. Its about a teenaged girl who goes on a road trip, and Im
sort of a life lesson that she has to encounter along the way,
Lavoisier reveals of playing the creepy boyfriend of the lead
characters mother. It takes place in the 1960s during the free
love movement when everything was like Groovy man, no big
deal. So my character doesnt realize how big of an impact
coming onto her might have. In addition to getting over the
awkwardness of sharing close moments with the young actress playing Liza, Lavoisier had to gure out how to drive an

to get used to her motorized scooter after the accident that
left her paralyzed. Her portrayer, Suzanne Rogers, also faced
a learning curve. Ive realized that Im not very good with it,
she admits. A few times, I ran into the scenery, she shares,
like the day there were some chiffon curtains up on the windows, and I got caught up in them! For the crew that Rogers
has worked with for years, its been easy to forget that her
character is no longer ambulatory. The director will say,
Now you turn away from the window when you come into the
Rogers new ride isnt
room, and then you walk down here she laughs. And Im
quite a smooth one!

nervous, and its okay to cry because

you get in there, youre going to make a

a testament to Ray Wises brilliance as
an actor that his alter ego, Ian Ward, is
the character that you most love to hate.
In fact, we found ourselves settling back
for a fun, wild ride when Ian forced Nikki at gunpoint to the Abbott cabin. Upon
discovering Phyllis there, his blue eyes
widened in wicked delight, and he
chortled, Ah, sweet serendipity. My fellow stargazer! Lucky me, to go from a
cold, square cell of solitude to a red-hot
love triangle!

As enjoyable as it was to watch the former self-help guru deal with Nikki and
Phyllis, Ian is at his evil best when he
spars with Victor. After he made his
being mentally ill, a woman
plagued bydaddy issues.

me, too? Katie asked, referencing the father whod walked out
on them decades prior.Do you
think he didnt hurt Donna and
$5-million ransom demand which had

him humorously singing, Money, sweet
money, Im heading for the land of milk
and honey the villain expressed glee
at The Mustaches arrival at the cabin.
My old friend, he laughed. Here we go
again, huh? I had a sneaking suspicion
youd nd a way here. And I am delighted to be proven right your crass
threats aside, of course.
Ian loves money, but he loves to get
under Victors skin even more. Like a
naughty child, he deliberately annoyed
Victor with his incessant babbling and
never lost his Cheshire-cat grin even
when he realized the billionaire had
double-crossed him, and he was once
again being hauled back to the slammer.
The fact that its prison, and not the
morgue, had us breathing a sigh of relief, because that means theres a good
chance that Ian and Wise will return to wreak havoc again and remain
our guiltiest pleasure!
Mom, most of all? We didnt

look for a man to fill the emptiness. Not you. No, The Slut From
The Valley stays the same.
Invoking Stephanies longused epithet for Brooke was
only the start of the invectives
Katie slung at her big sis, who
by this point was a self-loathing
mess of tears.
Go ahead, the remorseful
blonde sobbed. Call me a
whore, because I know thats

Instead of continuing her verbal onslaught, Katie softened

devastating explosion. As Shawn tried to
deal with the aftermath, Rafe tried to help

Aiden when not attacking Andre tried
to insist that he was completely innocent.
With Tate still missing, Theresa and Brady
found Summer in Las Vegas and confronted
her. During an emotional moment, Summer
tried appealing to Theresa. Brady, meanwhile, wondered if Victor might be involved
