Ifrefers to the general Strategy followed in collection and analyzing the Recessary data for solving the problems. The research methods are Senerally classified into three categories : 1. Historical 2. Descriptive 3. Experimental In the presence study the researcher has used the descriptive ‘Method. -CTIVES OF THE PRESENT STUDY : To know about the secondary education during Pre- _ Independence period. To know about the secondary education during Post- Independence period. To have knowledge about the strategies that the state gevernment has followed in secondary education in pre- ndence and post-independence period. 4. To have the specific data regarding number of teacher, institution and enrollment of the student of Udhampur district. 5. To have the knowledge about the status of Secondary Education in Udhampur district. 6. To know the various organizations that are helpful in Secondary education.
