How important is punctuality in your culture? Is it OK to be late for

a meeting?
Norwegians take punctuality for business meetings very seriously and
expect their business partners to act accordingly. Business meetings must
be scheduled way in advance and carefully prepared for.
Is it OK to be late for a meeting?
The expected duration of a meeting should also be respected. Given all this,
one should keep in mind that late arrival to the meeting is tolerated only
with advanced warning and reasonable explanation.

Is a person's status important in meetings? Does the most senior

person always lead a meeting?
he hierarchy within Norwegian companies is usually flat. In other words,
there are usually only a few different levels of job roles within Norwegian
companies.
Is decision-making slow or fast in business?
With regard to the decision making process, any decision within Norwegian
corporations is made only after reaching a consensus and compromise with
every member of the group. There is almost never an imposed decision by
the chairman or the team leader. Therefore, it should be kept in mind that a
response to a business proposal would not be provided within a short period
of time since many opinions have to be taken into account.
