Procedure First of all the model is made in Solidworks and then magnetostatic analysis is

performed in two softwares Ansys14.5 and Ansoft Maxwell.

In Ansys first of all you need to import the model in magnetostatic option then we
have mesh the model and specify the materials for the different parts and we need
to apply boundary condition for the coil i.e first boundary condition will be parallel
magnetic flux surface should be selected and the Current is provided as boundary
condition in the Coil Area and then click on the option solve for solving the problem
and then we can see different things like Manetic flux density , Magnetic Induction
(B)Intensity,Flux lines etc .So In this way by selecting the materials we get different
Magnetic flux density etc. With this we can calculate the shear stress in MR fluid

After calculating the shear stress at different positions in MR fluid we can calculate
the braking torque generated using the formula

Using this we calculated the different values the values were calculated considering
w(angular velocity)=100RPM.

In Ansoft maxwell we needed to do analysis in 2D axissymmetric model so wehave

made only half portion of the model the give the excitation in coil area that is
current (1 Amp) and by selecting different materials we get different diagrams as
shown.
