Tite of Artifact: Observation 4(Foundations)-Child Study
Standard: Standard 2: Human Growth and Development- Teachers shall understand how
children and adolescents develop and learn in a variety of school, family and community
contexts and provide opportunities that support their intellectual, social, emotional and physical
development.
I am placing my Observation 4(Foundations)-Child Study under Standard 2 Human Growth and
Development, as evidence of continued mastery. This observation will help teachers in toddler
classrooms see what a child of 11/2 to 2 years of age should be behaving like. Her growth skills
were tremendous. Before she used to be clingy, but is now branching off and beginning to play
with other friends. She is able to speak more words and is ready to move on to the next class.
Children at this level should be able to speak some words and eat self-sufficiently.
