Title of Artifact: Observation 2(Foundations)-Planning
Standard: Standard 4: Instructional Planning and Strategies- Teachers shall understand
instructional planning, design long and short term plans based upon knowledge of subject matter,
student, community, and curriculum goals, and shall employ a variety of developmentally
appropriate strategies in order to promote critical thinking, problem solving and the performance
skills of all learners.
I am placing my Observation 2(Foundations)-Planning under Standard 4 Instructional Planning
and Strategies, as evidence of continued mastery. Teachers in toddler classrooms will be able to
learn from this observation how to implement monthly plans within the class. Using the creative
curriculum and incorporating the students in the lesson plan will help make the planning a lot
easier since then the child will be engaged in the lesson. Being able to sing songs to make the
lesson go by smoother will let the children learn and also enjoy the day.
