Title of Artifact: Observation 2(Field Experience)-Planning
Standard: Standard 4: Instructional Planning and Strategies- Teachers shall understand
instructional planning, design long and short term plans based upon knowledge of subject matter,
student, community, and curriculum goals, and shall employ a variety of developmentally
appropriate strategies in order to promote critical thinking, problem solving and the performance
skills of all learners.
I am placing my Observation 2(Field Experience)-Planning under Standard 4 Instructional
Planning and Strategies, as evidence of continued mastery. This observation will help teachers
within a preschool classroom plan monthly lessons each month. The students are not
incorporated within the creations of the lesson plans, but there are always activities each day that
have the children engaged in the lesson. Being able to incorporate technology, hands on projects
and listening activities help children want to stay focused in the lesson.
