Description of how to implement in the class: Using Microsoft PowerPoint, the teacher will create
a narrated PowerPoint Movie. The students will then be shown the video at the beginning of class.
Students will then do centers highlighting the jobs each of the members do. At the end of class,
students will do an assessment activity where they have to match the character to its job and
describe what they do. Students may refer back to the PowerPoint as many time as needed to review
the material. Students who are out sick for the day will be sent the PowerPoint to review over the
lesson at home and be ready for the activity the next day.
Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi): LoTi level 3 best describes this learning, because by
using the movie in the classroom, technology is being used in the classroom in a way that promotes a
higher level of thinking and a deeper connection.
Description of the sample spreadsheet and graph/chart provided *: The students will be able to
view the video at home through the classroom blog or in class. They will able to revisit the material to
review or relearn about the different jobs in our society as needed.
Other comments about your proposed spreadsheet/graph/chart activity: As mentioned,
students who are sick may be able to view the content and learn it at home through their parents
email or the classroom blog.
