Writing Process of the Multi-Modal Project
I think I have used rhetorical knowledge in the sense that I am trying to analyze my topic
and be able to intrigue the audience as much as possible. We are trying to make sure that the
purpose of our topic is very clear and interesting. We will be using contexts in order to create
and comprehend our topic. First, we will read the books that we checked out and obtain as much
helpful information as possible. Majorly, I do not believe that any of the daily writings, writing
prompts, class discussions, or other projects have made me think about anything relating to our
topic for the multi-modal project. They have helped me expand my mind and they taught me
how to think outside the box in order to be creative and learn new things. I think that the writing
prompts and other class assignments have helped me improve my writing skills and helped me
learn from my mistake, and these mistakes wont occur on the multi-modal project thanks to
these assignments.
The class also helped my partner and I know which questions that they would like
answered. This helps us know what to look up in order to keep our audience intrigued and happy.
This also helped us make some sort of guideline for the project. Their questions helped us
inquire or find what we need to investigate further in terms of our chosen topic for the semester
long project.

A major reason why my partner and I chose our topic of the evolution of rap is because
rap culture is very common throughout our generation today. It now seems as if everyone listens
to rap. So, we thought it would be interesting to see how rap started and all the affects it has on
society. A good source that helps us receive a little background information on our topic is the
movie Straight Outta Compton. This movie helps us know the origin of rap and its purpose. It
helps s think about how different rap is now compared to rap back then.
