Steady state testing

Steady state testing


This type of dynamometer test is performed with brake dynamometers. The engine
is held at a specific RPM using the e-bikes throttle and load is being applied through
the turning of the prony brakes tensioning bolt. This can be used to find a miss at a
certain speed or tune the engine for maximum power at a certain speed. Based on
the data, it can be inferred that the load, torque and efficiency are all directly
proportional with each other. The slower the speed of the e-bike, the higher the
efficiency rating.
