While hanging out with my friends at my house, I brought up my topic for the semester
long project. I told them that I were to do research on the Immigration Policy, and the effects that
it caused overtime as it changes. I told them that I had a idea of making a timeline that showed
the change of the Immigration Policy from the 1960s to present day. They told me that that was
a good idea, and that I should concentrate on more of the present-day immigration policy than
anything else. They had an idea that I should involve politics, and the presidential election. They
told me that I should consider adding the effects of Trumps election, and the effects that Hillary
would have been elected if she were elected. I thought this was a great idea, so I asked what sorts
of ideas I should include involving the presidential election. They told me that I should
incorporate more of trump election, and how his presidency would change the immigration
policy for the future. Trumps election would change the immigration policy greatly making it
extremely difficult for immigrants to visit or even stay in America, the land of the free. Also,
immigrants that are already in the country at the time will have a harder time staying, legal or
not. Most of the conversation was very helpful in giving me ideas for my semester long project.
We conversed for a long while, but some of it were off task and not helpful. Although the
conversation sparked some ideas for me, I am still the one to elaborate on the idea into my
project.
