Conversation on Prostitution
Throughout my conversation with my roommates about prostitution, it was more than
interesting to say the least. We essentially covered all the topics that we plan to put in the project
initially. It began by me just gathered around in one room and we just started the conversation
off by saying that "Do you think it is true that prostitution is one of the oldest occupations in the
world?" Then followed by a response by my other two roommates stating their thoughts, and
they both agreed yes. Eventually the conversation led to an argument when it came to the legality
of the topic. One roommate was actually in favor of legalizing prostitution while the other one
was not so much. It was interesting to see everyone's perspective on the issue and it was quite
humorous and interesting to see people argue their opinions. In addition, other topics that were
included was that I brought up the topic of Charlotte being in the top ten for sex trafficking and
what was their response to that. Both of my roommates said that they were not surprised at the
fact that Charlotte is so highly rated. This made me shocked because I know when I looked at the
information I would not have expected Charlotte to even come close to that list. But as for
learning anything new that pertains to my project, I did not find anything in the conversation that
we talked about that I am able to research further. Mostly my roommates and I just went over a
topic that is going to be through my presentation anyway.
