Science News, Brain Waves Show Promise Against Alzheimers Protein in Mice Dec, 7 2016,
by Laura Sanders

This article showcases the findings of neuroscientist Li-Huei Tsai of MIT in her
developments in possibly treating Alzheimers patients. They have observed that Alzheimers
inducing proteins are reduced after specific brainwaves are emitted in mice. Since Alzheimers
is, and has been, a major issue. A new way to combat it, and possibly cure it, is lifechanging for
the over 5.4 million Americans and their families. Not to mention the global population. Less
money and resources would be put to Alzheimers and more money could be redirected to other
issues like cancer or diabetes. Since this is all new findings nothing has arisen to disprove the
conclusions that are being made by brain gamma waves. This research is still very early in
development so it may take a while before light induced brain therapy is available to the public.
It is always incredible to me that something as basic as stimulating the brain to produce
brainwaves can help wipe a protein that can cause so much harm. I also brings me to awe at how
much we as a people dont know about what our bodies are capable of doing to help itself. While
human logic can intervene, and save lives it is nice to know that our nature built bodies, under
the right circumstances, can practically work miracles.
