Publication Plan

Title: Amped
Positioning Statement: Indie By Heart
Frequency of publication: Monthly
Price: 2.00
Distribution: Newsagents, supermarkets, music shops and concert venues
Rationale: The approach of the magazine is based a lot around the audience and fans of the music.
The purpose of the magazine is to entertain the audience and update them on what is going on in
the music industry and indie music in which they are interested in. Content will include interviews,
gig guides, album reviews and posters from the audiences favourite indie bands. To do this, I will
include interviews, updates and public feedback on the magazine to modify it to meet the
audiences wishes.
Style: The style of the magazine will be informal to make it easy for the young audience to read and
to make it appropriate for the target audience. Short paragraphs will be used to break up the text
and humour will be used to entertain the audience. Relevant and visually interesting images will be
the main features of all pages.
