A non-proportional test piece with a fixed initial gauge length may be used, In this ease, reference sball be made to a conversion table (refer to ISO 2566-1). However, in case of dispute, only the results obtained on a proportional test piece shall be taken into consideration. ‘The yield stress specified in annex 2 table of this Standard is the apper yield stress ReH, ifthe yield phenomenon is not visible, oither the 0.2 % proof stress (Rpes) ‘or the 0.5 % proof stress (total elongation) (Rtgs) may be used. The specification of the material is complied with in this respect if one or other of these values satisfies the specified yield stress value. 2 Impact test 2) The impact test shall normally be carried out on products having a thickness more than 12 mm or diameter more than 16 mm, The test piece shall be riachined so that the face nearest to the rolled surfaco is not more than 1 mm frem it For produete of thickness greater than 40 mm, the test piece shall be taken in such a way that ite axis is positioned at 1/4 of the thickness from the surface. ‘The notch shall be perpendicular to the rolled surface. If agreed at the time of ordering, impact tests may be carried out on produets having a thickness less than 12 mm: the dimensions of the test pieces shall be in accordance with the requirements of 1S 148, i2, 10 mm % 7.5 mm snd 10 mm 5 mm, er shall cor- respond to 10 x « (e: being the product thickness). The specified energy values are given in annex B, bb) The test shall be carried out using a V-noteh test piece supported at both ends (refer to ISO 148), the value to be taken into account being the average of the results obtained from three test pieces eut adjacent to each other from the same product, unless there are reasons for a retest (rafer to 6.5) 6.43 Chemical analysi 1a) Ifa products analysis is specified on the order, the number of samples to be taken shall be in accordance with agreement between the purchaser and the supplier. ‘The camples may be taken from the test pieces used to check the mechanical properties or from the full thickness of the product at the same rlace as the test pieces. In case of dispute, only the analysis of material from the full thick- nets of the product shall be taken into eansideration or the selection and preparation of samples for chemiesl snalysis, the re. ‘quirements of ISO, 14284 shall be applied 1b) Incase of dispute, the method used for chemical analysis shall be in accordance ‘with the requirements epeeified in the corresponding International Standard. For grade E 235 B, killed steels UNE og Si) are preferable to steels without specified deoxidation, particulary if seg~ {egation zones could be encountered during welding. With increasing product thiekness and increasing strength level, the main risk is the ocearrence of eold cracking in the welded zone, Cold cracking is caused by a combination of the following factors: — the amount of diffusible hydrogen in the weld metal: — a brittle structure of the heat-affested zone: — a significant concentration of tensile stress in the welded joint, - 6 3106 — an oper noo | 069 081 aroma | ome woman S| soma | ee. sees mamannton “cyl pn mgme pn 9-089 OSL re ls pone pORR OE D SIE (oanwunzosuy ¢ xouay yeasayuy Sugpuodsasio9 pun SIP wooss9q 91401 Los| tudo = 6 3100 — | iP 30 LBD SIF ste gin. ope Seam eo es a. sm Spade eorododi sa “OR pao x a some a ote is, ‘tayo 50st ® . perenne sworaeg | aig song | snerg sup ssusag oo es Tame (ab Joa ert woe rrooneeret at ante ee — 3106 — oe on sogpace sey ost | __ baN cwnerap | £809 reomparje end | SEO pr rx monn a sou see qeoasstt 7. ~ 6 3106 — ads oun saanty :wones9N8/IOW — yaaa yore) ut sppy :wontppe/aoN — uoneagsede sor9|aq wONBIARIION. — semng | ea. rewnnensay wy aaans sue m scenario) — G 3106 ~ ban | sevens por cones | 9059 ss cy somite pore pero ost a1¥0 9 sir yorvoro9 sie eodard yuan | geen asou meyer | aOR sweep emma | oo " ‘ost vom sear pos | wonipee | nan Aes pe oes sur rodent yon | Sootesson ery ste | JGR Tune | 6 a me enn | aoe reopened | umn woe | re. ur me PSY pee vragen (AD respec uy ous
