MOOTS AND MEETINGS

ORGANIZATION + OFFICERS

Trothmoot is held during the first

or second weekend in June, alternating between the center of the
U.S. and the two coasts. Activities
have included workshops, crafts
demonstrations, blots and other
rituals, oracular seidh, and the
grand sumbel. Trothmoot has
proved to be a good place for networking, making new friends, and
just hanging out, Norse-style.
Troth members and officers also
sponsor and attend regional moots
such as the Mid-America moot and
Aegirs Fest on the west coast.
The High Steward is coordinating
the actvities of Regional Stewards,
and we are in the process of developing materials to support them in
providing information and encouragement to individuals and groups
seeking to learn about the Northern tradition.

In the past few years, the Troth has moved

steadily towards greater participation by the
membership. The position of Steerswo/man
and most of the Rede seats are now elective.

THE CLERGY PROGRAM

For information about-Troth Policy, or IDUNNA, contact:

Diana L. Paxson, greyhavn@earthlink.net

One of the Troths most useful offerings is the Clergy Training Program. Under the current system,
candidates must complete the
Godwo/man (ministerial) program
first before going on to study to be
Elders . An on-line discussion list
is helping to solve the problem of
communication. moral support for
trainees who are scattered all over
the country.
