1. What requirements must you meet in order to study abroad? (i.e. GPA, etc.)
In order to be eligible for studying abroad, youd have to have a 2.75 cumulative
GPA for semester programs. For summer programs youd have to have a
cumulative GPA of 2.5
2. What are the three (3) different types of study abroad programs available to
students?
There are different types depending on the amount of time youd spend in one
program. This includes semester, summer, and academic programs.
3. What are the deadlines for applying for study abroad?
The early application deadline is Friday, January 15, 2016. The normal deadline is
Tuesday, March 22 2016
4. What are three different ways that you can raise money to fund your trip?
You could raise money to fund the trip through scholarships. Some other ways
include grants and loans.
5. Name two (2) scholarships that can fund you for your trip and how you meet the
requirements?
One scholarship is the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, which awards
up to 5,000 for undergraduates. Another is the AIFS NAFEO Scholarship, which
awards 50% of the travel costs, awarded exclusively to HBCUs.
6. Where would you like to travel to for your study abroad experience and why?
I would like to go to Italy. I like their food, culture, and I would really enjoy the
experience.

7. Does A&T offer this as an option? If not, then what would be your second choice
destination?
Yes they do.
