Reflection

For my senior project has help me in many different ways. First of all I really liked that I
was able see how many different people of all ages has been able to live their life's with hearing
problems. People don't realize how important of their five scenes are until they have affected.
Seeing how people overcome a disability and show that they can be like anyone else, has really
impact my life. Some reason are because people have it difficult in hearing everyone , for work
or school or even in their life. This project made me grow as a person, by seeing people even
with disabilities are like anyone else. I feel like the people with disabilities are more powerful,
meaning they have been able to overcome and able to live like anyone else.
I have learn how important it is to have regular check ups. The reason is because you
never know how someone's health can change so quickly. For having a hearing test at least the
kid has to two times of checking hearing per year. For kids it's important because the are still
developing and it's important. For adults it's important to check a least once a year just in case of
any changes and you can have a solution before it gets worst.
It was interesting seeing different patients with the same problem of hearing loss but in
different ways. Being some might have hearing loss in both ears and others just in one ear. For
example some have both hearing loss server or in the mild range . In both ears can have different
types of hearing lost just like in eyes when you getting glasses sometimes you need to different
eye glass because both eyes have different eye vision.
Challenges that I had in my senior project was finding time to meet up with my mentor. I
was lucky enough to be able to make my time during summer that really helped me to be able to
get my hours. Another challenge was not being able to take pictures with patients. I was able to
see what my mentor Dr.Megan was able to do with them, but it was difficult to get pictures. I
was fortunate enough to get at least one picture of one patient, that I was able to see. Also some
patients really didn't like the idea on a teenager who you don't know to be when they get checked
up.
This finishes my senior project for 2016. This has been almost a roller coaster project.
Had challenges and good experience for my life outside of High School.
