How the Forecasts Are Told

Now a days most newspapers, magazines and even TV programs carry

monthly or weekly or even daily forecasts. How these forecasts are
done?
1. Daily forecasts are made by the movements of the Moon.
2. Weekly forecasts are made by the Gochar (transits) of various planets,
and
3. Monthly forecasts are made by the movements of the Sun.
All planets move with their own speed, but among all the planets, the
Moon's speed is the fastest, that is why he is known as "the mind"
But whatever is forecast is made, its basis is wrong. Because it is made on
the basis of the Moon, not on your Lagna, that is why when their basis is
wrong, its results are also wrong. When we are born, we are not born only
because of one planet, but because of the combination of the 9 planets.
This is another thing that they are at different places at every birth.
So every planet has his own speed - one planet crosses one Sign in 30
days, another in 11 days only, yet another planet takes 12 months to cross
a Sign, but whatever chart is drawn at the time of our own birth, our
future is seen against only that same chart; not against that time's
transit of planets. The world's population is almost 600 billion, it is
foolish to distribute all the people among the 12 Signs.
"If there is any planet Malefic in your birth chart, he cannot give you
benefic results in your GOchar (transit) even if it is the most benefic in
your transit chart, although its Malefic effects may be less intense."
Then what is the use of seeing this forecast? Whoever astrologers are
forecasting weekly and daily forecast on the basis of the Moon Lagna
they are fooling you nothing else.
About Mental Illness
Temporary distortions of mental faculties - memory or power of
concentration. (Not permanent deterioration of intellect)
Many with this ailment are far above normal in intelligence.
Main Causes:
1. damage to brain with external impacts; 2. worry and anxiety; 3.

damage/destruction of mental nerves; 4. Head injuries; 5. Syphilitic

infections; 6. Tumors; 7. Clogging or hardening of arteries of brain; 8.
Addiction to mind-expanding drugs like LSD, marijuana, hashish, excessive
tobacco use. NERVES BREAKDOWN is a popular term which incapacitates
one from normal mental functioning. Mind altering drugs would cause
permanent injury to the mind and one would become criminal or impotent.
Other evil results are: a. loss of memory; b. insomnia; c. loss of appetite;
d. permanent loss of mental ability; e. sterility in women. Mental illness
are classified under: 1. Hysteria; 2. mania; 3. neurasthenia; and insanity a person cannot or incapable of determining between right and wrong.
Stellar Patterns:
The Moon, Mercury, and Saturn are three main mental rulers of the brain.
The 3rd and 9th Houses from the Lagna are the mental signs.
Gemini (Mithun), Virgo (Kanya), and Aquarius also rule over mind and
mental structure. Any afflictions to these signs by occupation, ownership,
and aspects by malefic Planets (Mars, Saturn, Raahu, Ketu, or Jupiter in
Makar (Capricorn) or Mars in Kark (Cancer) or Sun in Tulaa (Libra), or
combust of any planet with Moon) could rise to mental disturbances - the
transit in 'Gochar' could influence this - the combination in Dashaa Bhukti and Antar-Dashaa will be of greater importance. Even simple
association of Saturn or Raahu could cause extreme mental disturbances
whenever they combine in listed conditions. There is a dictum : When
Mars afflicts the Sun or Mercury in Mithun or Kanyaa Raashi the native
will invariably suffer from lunacy - crazy, irrational, unethical major
decisions to cause extreme mental pain and results.

Prediction About Injury-Ghatak Chakra

Ghatak Chakra
As the name suggests, Ghatak chakra is seen for any kind of injuries, may
it be Physical or Mental. The injuries can be inflicted at an inopportune
moment or by an inimical person. Both of these can be seen from the
Ghatak Chakra. For the first instance, the inopportune time can be seen
from the horoscope of the moment of occurrence of the event and for

the latter case, the same can be seen from the horoscope of the person
inflicting pain and injury.
Ghatak Chakra Tithis:
As shown in the Ghataka Chakra, based on the position of natal Moon, one
of the specific element of time namely Moon sign (Raashi), Lunar day
(Tithi), Weekday (Vaar), Lunar Asterism (Nakshatra) or the Ascendant
(Lagna) can be inauspicious. Following principles can be used in the analysis
of the Ghatak Chakra:
1. If at any moment, there is preponderance of the Ghatak elements, then
there can be some injury/ pain inflicted on the person. So one must
regularly checkout the Lunar Transit through the sign and the Nakshatra,
the solar and lunar days and the Lagna of the moment to carry out some
activities or remain cautioned about some impending danger. If many of
the Ghatak elements come together, then there can be indications of
danger during that time. For example, I am born with Scorpio Lagna and I
must be careful on the days when Moon is transiting through Taurus or
Revatee Nakshatra and that day happens to be a Friday and the lunar day
happens to be a Nandaa Tithi (pratipada-1, shasthi-6 or ekadasi-11).
2. The relationship of a person can also be checked using the Ghatak
Chakra. To check this out, we need to check the presence of the Ghatak
elements in the other person's horoscope. Thus for me (born in Scorpio
Raashi), the natives with Taurus Raashi, Revatee Nakshatra, born on
Friday, in the Nandaa Tithi and/or with Scorpio (Male) or Taurus (Female)
Lagna can inflict injury. The presence of more Ghatak elements confirm
this.
3. The nature of injury can be seen from the nature of Ghatak element
and the Lord of the element. If the Ghatak element happens to be Moon,
then the injury is on reputation, if they happen to be Weekday or the
Lagna, the injury is more physical and if they happen to be Tithi or
Nakshatra, the injury is more mental and emotional. The Lord of the
Ghatak element which caused the injury can say more on the exact nature
of the injury based on its Lordship, placement and Yog.

When regarding Yog - planetary combinations - only full aspects are
relevant.
Remember any Yog, good or bad, must have the right time to operate,
also its strength, weakness and aspects etc are also have to be
considered, not its mere presence.

The Sankrit names for each of the Fingers are:

Thumb: Angustha, Index Finger: Tarjani, Middle Finger: Madhyama, Ring
Finger:Anamika, Little Finger: Kanishta
--------------------------Sankalpam :
1. Place the left Palm, turned upward on the right Thigh
2. Place the Right Plam turned downward on the left palm
3. Look at the above image attached
----------------------------------------Sandhyavandanam, Japa, Homam etc. :
1. After brushing teeth and performing Aachamanam twice, one should do
sankalpam. There are two aims in taking bath: one, to control the heat in the
body and remove the dirt and bad smell of the body; second, to remove the
sins we commit.
2. We should invoke Tirtharaja and Ganga in the waters we bathe in and pray
for removal of all sins including eating wrong food, speaking wrong words,
receiving wrong danam etc. We should contemplate on Mahavishnu and
other Devas. We should chant Varuna
Suktham and Aghamarshnasuktham while bathing.
3. Then tarpanam should be done for Devas facing east, for Rishis facing
north with Upavita in Niviti (like a garland) and for Pitrus facing south with
upavita in Prachinaviti (on the right shoulder). This should be followed by
Aachamanam,
leaving water on the bank (of river) and tarpanam for Yakshma
(a Devata) for removal of sin accruing from dirtying the waters during
bath. We should then bend our head down so that water from the
tufted end of hair falls down on ground in the front, with upavita in
Prachinaviti. Pitrus gain satisfaction from this water.
4. When proceeding for bath, all Devas also accompany him. If one wipes his
body without offering this water, they curse out of dissatisfaction. If the
water from the tuft falls at the back, it is Surabindu
(liquor). Thereafter, one should fold the angavastram in fours and, with
upavitam in Niviti, squeeze water saying, let those, who were born in my
gotra and died sonless, may accept this water from the cloth.
He should then wipe his head and body with dry cloth.
There are five parts of bath:
1. Sankalpam, 2. Chanting of Varuna suktham, 3. Maarjanam
(sprinkling of water), 4. Aghamarshanam, 5. Tarpanam for Devas et

al. If one takes such bath in morning time before sunrise for three
years continuously, his sins committed in seven births will go away.
------------------Sankalpam and its meaning + Sandhya vandan with Pictures
I was always curious to know the meaning of the Sankalpam that we take before the start
of a pooja or ritual. I am giving below what I have gathered from these sources. Credits
given at the end.
Firstly, we need to know the Hindu Cosmic cycle.
1 Mahayuga = Sum of 4 Yugas (Krita, Treta, Dwapara and Kali) = 4,320,000 years. 1000
such mahayugas comprise a day-time of Brahma also known as a Kalpa. The kalpa is ruled
by 14 manus in succession. The reigning period of a manu is one manvantara which is 71.42
mahayugas. There is an equivalent night-time of 4,320,000,000 years. The day-night of
Brahma together constitutes one Brahma day (8.64 billion years). 360 Brahma days
constitute a Brahma year while 360 years represent the lifetime of Brahma which is the life
of the cosmos. Doing this simple maths gives the age of the cosmos to be 311 trillion years.
Carl Sagan, the noted scientist says in relation to this, ""The Hindu religion is the only one
of the world's great faiths dedicated to the idea that the Cosmos itself undergoes an
immense, indeed an infinite, number of deaths and rebirths. It is the only religion in which
the time scales correspond, to those of modern scientific cosmology. Its cycles run from our
ordinary day and night to a day and night of Brahma, 8.64 billion years long. Longer than
the age of the Earth or the Sun and about half the time since the Big Bang. And there are
much longer time scales still."
We are presently in the Sveta-Varaha kalpa in the reigning period of Vaivaswatha - the 7th
manu. In this manvantara we are in the 28th mahayuga. As per our Cosmology, Brahma is
supposed to have completed 50 Brahma years and is in his 51st year. That is why he is
called "Parardha-dvaya-jivin" (ie) he lives for two parardhas. A parardha is half. Two halves
make one. He is called so as he has completed one half of his tenure. These terminology
makes better sense in relation to the Sankalpa.
The actual Sankalpa mantra and its meaning runs like this
".... dviteeya parardhe - in the 2nd half of Brhama's life
Svetavaraha kalpe - in the kalpa of Sveta-Varaha
Vaivaswatha manvantare - in the reining period of the current manu Vaivaswatha
Ashta Vimsati tame - in the 28th mahayuga of the current manavantara
Kaliyuge - in this kali yuga
Prathame Padhe - in the first quarter of this yuga
Jamboodveepe - this denotes the place where the ritual is performed. India was known as
Jambudveepa
Bharata Varshe, Bharata Kande - in the land of Bharat
Sakhabde Mero, Dakshine Parsve - to the South of the Meru mountain
Asmin Varthamane Vyavaharike - in the current period now reigning
Prabhavadi Shasti Samvatsaranam Madya - among the cycle of 60 years starting from
Prabhava
Nama Samvatsare - the name of the year in the 60 year Hindu calendar
....Ayane - Dakshinayane (Aadi to Marghazi) or Uttarayane (Thai to Aani)
....Ritou - denotes the 6 seasons or Ritus - Vasantha, Greeshma, Varsha, Sharadh,
Hemantha and Shishira
....Mase - one of the 12 tamil months

....Pakshe - either Shukla Paksham (day after Amavasya till and including Pournami) or
Krishna Paksham (day after Pournami till and including Amavasya)
....Subha Thithou - one of the 15 days between Pournami and Amavasya (Prathama,
Dvithiya, Trithiya, Chaturthi, Panchami, Shasti, Saptami, Ashtami, Navami, Dasami, Ekadasi,
Dwadashi, Trayodasi, Chaturdasi, Pournami or Amavasya
....Vasara Yuktayam - one of the days of the week (Bhanu, Soma, Bhowma, Soumya,
Guru, Brugu and Sthira)
....Nakshatra Yuktayam - the day's star or Nakshatram.
After saying the above the name of the ritual is said. The Paramacharya says the Sankalpam
is a kind of record of what you performed with finer details going down to the day and
location of the ritual. It seems to me the forerunner for a kind of bookkeeping or a system
of maintaining minutes of a meeting.
