*Chapter 1*
Olivia sees Caleb in the record shop (in her part of the town) after 3
years of NC. Last time she saw him he hated her and told her to stay away. She t
hought she got over him.
Rain starts, stranger offer her to walk her to her car with umbrella bu
t he sends weird vibe and Olivia turns him down and head for the record shop.
Olivia stages "bumping" into Caleb. He doesn't recognize her, he tells
her that he had an amnesia and he doesn't know what he likes or dislikes (talkin
g about music) and she tells him he's the classic rock kind of a guy and gives h
im a CD. He walks away.
*Chapter 2*
Olivia gets drunk home alone after her run into Caleb, she's depressed
he forgot her (and we learn that she broke his heart 3 yrs before).
Next day she goes to health food store (she throw away his photo and to
ld herself to forget about him). As she's looking for ice cream Caleb approaches
her. She's shocked to see him again. He tells her he's here to buy his gf wine.
His gf is Leah Smith (they met a year after he and Olivia broke up) and she's t
otal opposite of Olivia (Olivia spied in him after the BU). Olivia hates that he
remembers his gf but not her, and he tells her that he didn't remember Leah.
He asks her out to a coffee and she refuses but he doesn't take no for
a no (as always) and she relents.
She meets him at the coffee 30 minutes later. He tells her how he lost
his memory (in a car accident). He tells her he found a engagement ring in his d
raw (on which Olivia almost chokes on her coffee) but now he doesn't even rememb
ers his gf. He asks her what's her story but she refuse to tell him, she tells h
im that when he gets his memory back she'll tell him her life story. He tells he
r that he wants to see her again.
*Chapter 3* [past]
First time she met Caleb. He tried to flirt with her but she shot him d
own (he was a famous basketball player and even more famous womaniser and she di
dn't want to be part of his fan club).
A week later Olivia goes to his game (only coz her roommate Cammie "bri
bed" her). When he's about to make the most important shot he paused the game an
d went to Olivia to ask her would she go out with him if he scores and she tells
him she'd go out if he misses it.
He missed the shot and Olivia was beyond surprised, she couldn't believ
e he did that and than she felt incredibly guilty he did that. People on campus
give her dirty looks afterwards. She didn't hear from Caleb for over a week.
On Friday night she gets delivered deflated basketball and note from hi
m telling her to meet him in the library. They meet in the library and he's his
usual arrogant self and extremely good looking. He told her his favorite book is
Great Expectations (again she's surprised). He tells her they are going to a da
te on Wednesday and that he's going to kiss her than he's gone and the only thin
g Olivia thinks is "over my dead body he's going to kiss me".
*Chapter 4* [past]
Date night: Cammie pampers her up.
He makes her uncomfortable by flirting and giving her compliments on th
eir way to the Ice Cream Parlor (it's his favorite date spot and Olivia tells hi
m it's lame he told her that he takes there every girl and that this isn't date
and it's only a one time thing they won't repeat).
At the parlor: at the beginning they have silly banter about his bad lu
ck table. He tells her about his charming life (rich English family, they moved
to USA when he was fourteen) and she tells him about her not so charming one (om
itting the really ugly stuff). She tells him she's not falling for his sensitive
guy routine and he tells her that he's not pulling an act. He gives her his eva
luation of her which is too close to the truth and makes her wanna run away. He

told her he missed the shot because he cared more about getting to know her than
win the game.
At their way out he stops them by romantic coin maker and they get the
penny saying "Good for one kiss. Anywhere. Anytime."
At her dorm door he starts to bend his head as if to kiss her (she push
ed herself in the door, she doesn't even know why is she so afraid) but he stops
millimeters from her nose and told her he won't kiss her tonight but someday he
wil.
*Chapter 5* [present]
Olivia at job. After their coffee date he told her he wants to see her
again and she invited him to dinner at her place.
Caleb comes over. He bought her her favorite flowers. He inspects her s
mall condo (looking at the ceramic owl he bought her years ago). She asks if he
remembered anything and he said as he was looking through travel magazin he saw
that campsite in Georgia and he had a feeling he was there.
Leah interrupts them. She starts crying and Caleb takes her home.
Next night Caleb comes. She tells him she doesn't wanna get in the midd
le of drama with his gf, he tells her that he wants to be friend with her no mat
ter what anyone thinks and she lets him in.
They make cake. Caleb starts talking about Leah and Olivia throws hand
full of batter at him to make him stop talking about his gf. That starts a food
fight. Thay have an almost kiss moment but Caleb stops it.
Two hours later they eat cake and he quizzes her about her favorite thi
ngs. When he asks about favorite memory she tells him about scavenge hunt he pla
nned but she refuses to tell him the name of the guy. She says that maybe he'd s
tart remembering soon but he says he'd rather make new memories staring with her
. He calls her Duchess (he called her like that when they were together), she fr
eezes and he says he doesn't know why he called her like that. Then he leaves.
She calls Cammie and fesses up about Caleb. Cammie tells her to be care
ful.
Olivia looks through an old memory box and finds penny from romance coi
n machine.
*Chapter 6* [past]
Caleb and Olivia at the pool. He "blackmailed" her to come or he'd tell
school papers she's the reason he missed the shot. They kiss, the first kiss sh
e's cold and responded it with frigid prudity, then he told her to kiss him back
and she did and it was magical. He broke away suddenly and started to say somet
hing but she stopped him and run away from the pool coz she was too ashamed that
the first time she lets herself go he slapped her in the face by pulling away l
ike that.
Tomorrow he called 3 times and she ignored it (she didn't need distract
ion from school that was named Caleb coz she has noone who'd pay for her school)
.
On monday she plans on avoiding Caleb but Professor Grumbbs calls her o
ver through the mic for not sitting in her usual seat asking her if she was hidi
ng from someone he didn't believe her when she said she didn't and ask the whole
amphitheatre who is she hiding from and Caleb raised his hand. Professor ordere
d Caleb to sit next to Olivia. After class she runs off and he doesn't chase her
.
Later that day he waits for her in front of her dorm room. She tells hi
m she's not interested in him "that" way, he tells her she's laying but he's a g
entleman and he'd back off than he walks away. She wants to run after him and te
ll him she was laying but her pride stops her.
Caleb steer cleared of Olivia for the next 5 months. Olivia started dat
ing guys but non of them compared to Caleb. So she gave up dating and stared sta
lking who's Caleb dating through Cammie.
In March he started dating Jessica Alexander. She was unbelievably beau
tiful and rich and pre-law (like Olivia)with highest GPA. Olivia hated her and d

ecided she'd "befriend the enemy". In their first talk Jessica told Olivia she's
gonna marry Caleb coz he's perfect.
Olivia finds Jessica crying. Jessica tells her she think she's pregnant
and doesn't want anyone to know, when Olivia asks why doesn't Caleb know when h
e's half responsible Jessica tells that she told him she's on birth control. Oli
via offer to drives her to appointment to have an abortion. Jessica thanks her.
When Olivia asks her how she knows her name, Jessica tells her that everyone kno
ws Olivia since she's the girl Caleb missed the shot for, and that Caleb told he
r she turned him down coz she was lesbian.
Olivia planned on sushing down that rumor by displaying her sexuality publicly.
*Chapter 7* [past]
Olivia drives Jessica and when asked for opinion she tells her that she
thinks she's absolutely doing the right thing. Olivia is mortified with what sh
e's done but she doesn't correct herself. After the procedure Jessica looks horr
ible and they drive back in silence.
Few hours later Olivia runs into Jessica and Caleb (she overheard that
he wanted to have sex) who were blocking entrance to her floor. Caleb ignores he
r brutally but jerks when Olivia "accidentally" brushes his back to get past the
m.
*Chapter 8* [present]
Caleb insists she comes over to his place to have dinner, but Olivia do
esn't think that's a good idea coz of his gf but he doesn't give up until Olivia
agrees.
Jim (guy she dated at college) calls her to meet up (they do it occasio
nally when he's in town). They meet. She tells him that Caleb is back in her lif
e and he gets upset (in college C. was the reason she dumped him). In club they
dirty dance.
He drives her home and assault her at her door, she manages to slap him
and shove him off. He leaves and she's so shaken by what might have happene. Sh
e calls Caleb.
Caleb comes. She tells him what happened with Jim. Caleb is outraged bu
t calmes down and hugs her. She asks him to stay the night and he agrees. She kn
ows the clock is ticking and anyday now he'll remember her and all hell will bre
ak lose.
*Chapter 9* [past]
Olivia tells Cammie that she overheard Jessica telling her friends that
she had an abortion knowing that Cammie is a true gossip girl and would spread
rumours like wind did fire.
Two days later rumour came to Caleb and he broke up with Jessica in fro
nt of cafeteria and day later Jessica went back to Las Vegas.
Olivia felt guilty and couldn't face the world for a week. She hated he
rself and told herself she's her father's child.
After Jessica girls were all over Caleb and Olivia was so insane with j
ealous that her grades started seriously dropping. So she decides to go to a par
ty on Saturday.
The party on saturday is totally the thing out of Olivia's comfort zone
. To attract Caleb's attention she pulls up her secret weapon - dance. She attac
ks a lot of attention, Caleb's also. She "invites" him with her finger to come d
ance with her and he did and they end up dancing for a few songs then they went
out to talk.
He tells her she really surprised him. She gives him their penny (one a
bout the kiss) and he kisses her hard and passionate.
Their idilic relationship. Olivia doesn't wanna have sex and Caleb's a
total gentleman.
*Chapter 10* [present]
Olivia wakes up after Jim's assault hung over to find Caleb still there

. He tells her that Jim left town last night (he called his motel), and if he ev
er come near her he'd kill him (that was music to her ears).
After she showers she tells him that this (what they are doing) isn't a
ll right and he should be running to get away, that she's not the type of girl h
e should be friends with and he tells her he doesn't wanna be just friends, both
embarrassed turn to watch TV.
They say goodbye, both hesitate (like they always did when they were to
gether) and than he says if feels like de javu. He leaves.
She remembers the searing pain she felt for the first 6 months followin
g their BU that turned to constant ache.
She knows she lives on borrowed time so she calls him to hang out.
She comes to his place, it's huge and impressive.
She asks to see the engagement ring he bought for Leah. He brings it an
d asks her to put it, at first she refuses but when he says it's bad luck for t
he bride she agrees only if he "propose" first. His "proposal" sounds too seriou
s that she has trouble breathing, when he's finished she kisses him lightly. She
says the ring looks silly on her but she couldn't take it off.
He tells her that he thinks amnesia didn't make him another person but
it just revealed that he pretended whole the time.
She asks if he loves Leah and he says he can't summon feelings he shoul
d be feeling toward he.
He takes off the ring with his mouth and than takes it away. It unravel
s Olivia and she gets up to go and Caleb asks her to stay. At that moment her ne
ighbor calls to tell her someone broke into her apartment
Her apartment is thrashed (slut written on the coffee table) but the on
ly thing missing is Caleb's picture. Olivia knows Leah did this and she's runnin
g out of time with Caleb.
Olivia goes to her neighbor Rose who has her dog. Rose asks motherly to
ward Olivia and she doesn't have a heart to turns her down. Caleb witness sweet
moment between the two and smiles fondly.
Olivia asks Caleb to go camping to Georgia coz she wants to avoid inevi
table - Leah telling him the truth, just a little longer. Unbelievably he agrees
.
At Georgia. Everything is idili. While Caleb's in bathroom Olivia sees
that Leah is calling him (+ there are 17 missed calls from her) so she turns it
off and hide in her jacket and than she throws it into a lake.
The rest 4 days of their little escape are perfect.
*Chapter 11* [past]
One year anniversary they go camping. He asks her is she loves him and
she avoids answering like many times before (btw. they still didn't have sex). T
hey have an argument about her not being able to say that to him ie. her not thr
usting him enough to say those words. He leaves to cool his head.
Later in tent he demonstrates who "owns" her. At the beginning she tell
s him noone will ever own her but when he seduces her and have her almost pleadi
ng for him to make love to her, she admits that he owns her to which he says Tha
nk you and leaves her almost naked in the tent. She cries.
*Chapter 12* [present]
Last day of camping. He asks her what's going on between them but she c
an't spill her guts and he doesn't push her.
On the drive back he ignores her. When she demands for him to talk to h
er he pulls over onto deserted parking lot. He goes outside but he corners her i
nto the car and asks her again to tell him what are they doing but she runs into
the dark grove around parking lot, he goes after her. She starts to tell him sh
e's a liar and a wicked person but he tells her he doesn't care what she's done
but what she feels. She tells him she wants him to kiss her. That's not what he
wanted to hear but when she asks him to kiss her and they'll figure out the rest
later, he "warns" her that if he kisses her he won't be able to stop at just th
at.

They start kissing passionately but he breaks it to ask her if she love
s him and she says yes he pressures her to say those 3 words, and when she does
he frozes. But she starts undressing him and his lust and urgency return. They h
ave make love on the grass in the grove. At the beginning she tries to control h
er body and don't show all her emotions but he melts her with his pleasure.
On the drive back they don't talk.
They clean the mess in the apartment in silence. He leaves.
She runs after him to tell him everything before Leah can. She tells hi
m she's horrible person on which he replys:
Why do you keep saying that about yourself, I like you a lot, Desperately Wicked
. His feet start moving in tune to some silent song and I fall into step with him
. That is all I care about Olivia.
Youll change your mind, when yourealize who I am.
I already know who you are.
You dont know anything.
I know everything I need to know. Be quiet.
And she doesn t tell him the truth, she enjoys her goodbye.
Later that night Leah comes and persuades Olivia to just disappear. Oli
via does agrees thinking that that way she d protect Caleb and finally be selfle
ss.
*Chapter 13* [past]
Olivia meets Calab s Mother Dearest (Luca). Olivia senses his mother di
slike the moment she laid her eyes on her. She feels inadequate (she s poor and
he s extremely rich). Luca mentions Caleb s job offer in London. He says to ever
yone that he s staying coz of Olivia in end-of-discussion way and his mother fli
ps and starts insulting Olivia. Caleb tells his mum that is she doesn t accepts
Olivia then she doesn t accepts him too.
Caleb takes Olivia out of there. He says he s ashamed, that she s his f
amily also and if his mum can t accept that then she can go to hell. He drive th
em to the dorm, and Olivia can t let go of his hand all the ride back.
In front of the dorm he asks her to dance with him, to just once don t
care about outer world and they do. She tells him he s a good man to which he re
plys A man is only as good as what he loves most, right?, but she sees herself as
rotten. He tells her that she s going to destroy him and she knows she will.
At her room she starts crying coz she believes that soon he d see her f
or who she really is and he ll leave her. Cammie comforts her telling her she s
not as bad as she thinks.
Six months forward: Olivia has only a semester left and the two of them
started talking about moving in together. He started working for his step-fathe
r and they see eachother less and less.
They plan a short getaway trip. Olivia is finally ready to make loveso
she made an extra effort for everything to be perfect. But Caleb never came to p
ick her up so she goes to his office. There s party in his firm but he didn t te
ll her. He can t locate him in the party and goes toward stairs but hears Caleb
s voice followed by female flirty laugh. Olivia opens the door.
*Chapter 14* [present/past]

Olivia leaves her memory box and the panny behind and leaves for Texas.

What really happened on the night Caleb was in an accident. He FAKED hi
s amnesia so he could find her.
**Four years later**

She s coming back to Florida with Cammie. She s a successful lawyer now
s engaged to a guy named Turner. She settles down.
Turner seems like a typical predictable guy ie. boring.

Her boss gives her a HUGE case coz the client asked for her, but Olivia
recognize client s name (Joanna Smith).
Tomorrow husband of Mrs. Smith ie. Caleb awaits her in her office. He t
he looked for her for a year. He tells her that he married Leah. He emo
blackmails her into being Leah s lawyer.
Meeting with her boss, Caleb and Leah about the case.

*Chapter 16* [present]

After 9 months of preparation case goes to the trail.
On Olivia s birthday Caleb tells her he never forgot her and was about
to say something else but prosecutor walks into courtroom.
Night before verdict is read Caleb comes to her condo. They don t talk
much, but he tells her not to marry Turner.
They win the case. Celebratory dinner. Leah taunts Olivia with the fact
that she lost Caleb to her, but Olivia isn t going to bite the hook. Leah witne
sses exchange of longing looks between Caleb and Olivia.
*Chapter 17* [present]
Turner moves to Florida after the case is won. She has a very hard time
adjusting to him living with her, she can t stand most of things he does.
She goes with Cammie to spy on Caleb but ends up breaking into their ho
use. She sees Leah s pictures all over the place and feels like everyone moved o
n but her.
She goes into his office (his favorite room) and finds his secret place
where he puts memories he wanted to keep just to himself. She finds small paint
ing of Jessica Alexander, ring that she bought him for his birthday and THEIR pe
nny.
She finds letters in which Leah bribed Turner to make a move on Olivia.
They also descover that Leah s trying to get pregnant (without C. knowing) so s
he can keep Caleb forever. They decide that Olivia has to stop Leah and fight fo
r Caleb.
Olivia breaks up with Turner.
*Chapter 18* [present/past]
**present**
Olivia flies to Rome to stop Leah.
On plain she meets Noah and tells him everything about her and Caleb s
history.
In Rome Olivia watches Caleb and Leah being sweet to eachother on the b
alcony of their room, she calls his hotel pretending she s his secretary and he
has to call in. When she sees him goes inside she goes back to her hotel.
Noah asks her to dinner.

Scene in the office unfolds. The woman leaves leaving Olivia and Caleb
alone. He tells her that he gave her everything he had and more and all he got i
n return was her being cold and detached. She knows he s telling the truth but w
hat he did hurt like hell. She left him in the office.
Olivia drives to the hotel they booked. She s blind with tears, hurt an
d betrayal. Caleb tried calling but she ignored him.
She gets dresses and picks a guy in the bar. She loses her virginity to
a stranger.
Tomorrow Caleb came and let himself in. Strange was long gone but the c
ondom wrapper was left on the nightstand. She told him she took Jessica for abor
tion and told her to do it. He didn t say a word he just fell to his knees, face
in his hands, body shaking. After an hour he got up and told her: You will never
see me again after today. I will love again, Olivia, you will hurt forever. Wha
t youve done isYou are worthless because you make yourself that way. You will reme
mber me every day for the rest of your life because I was the one and you threw
me away. And then he left.

*Chapter 19* [present]

Noah and Olivia s dinner. He tells her that she s not a bad rotten pers
on. He advises her to fight clean for Caleb and if she sees that he s really hap
py than she needs to let him go. When she tells him she s not sure she can let h
im go he tells her that she loves herself more than she loves Caleb. He asks her
to for once do something selfless.
After dinner Noah kisses her.
Olivia s confession to Caleb s hotel room that Caleb overhears. He tell
s her he faked his amnesia because he wanted to find her. He wanted them to have
a clean start but than she left (she decides she won t tell him that Leah drove
her away). He hired her as Leah s lawyer just to torture her but ended up tortu
ring himself. They confess their undying love to each other but both know it s t
oo late and they kiss goodbye.
*Epilogue*
She still loves Caleb with whole her heart but she s marrying Noah. At
her wedding she "sees" Caleb winking at her from under their tree (the one under
which they first met)
