The main topic of this article is the 2016 Presidential Election in the
United States. The article talks about the two frontrunners for president,
Democratic leader Hillary Clinton and Republican leader Donald Trump. With
these two people as the lead candidates for president, over eight out of ten
voters feel repulsed by the race rather than excited. This is because the two
nominees are seen as dishonest and are viewed unfavourably by the
majority of American voters. Despite all the controversy surrounding the
candidates, Mrs. Clinton still holds a lead in the polls due to her advantage
among non-white and female voters. Many people believe neither candidate
is fit to run the country but with time running out before the election, one of
them will become president.
This article covers a world issue simply because the United States is
the most powerful country in the world and most of what they do can affect
other countries. When one of these candidates becomes president, they will
greatly impact the state of their own country as well as the rest of the
countries in the world, especially Canada as the two countries share a border
and a close relationship.
The American Election so far has been filled with many interesting and
surprising moments. Both of the candidates have a lot of controversy
surrounding them which can create problems for the American voters when it
comes time to elect a new president. The problem with these two candidates

is that their controversies and their histories are causing more of a stir than
the issues and ideas they have and will put in place if elected. This leaves
the American population uneducated on the political issues of this means a
lot of uninformed people will be casting their votes when the time comes. An
issue can be created here as people wont be voting for who is the best
candidate, they will be voting for who they think isnt the worse person,
which could lead perhaps to the best candidate potentially not winning. One
of the main focuses of this election so far has been Republican nominee,
Donald Trump, and what he has been saying on social media and even
during debates and other public appearances. He has been deemed a racist
and sexist by many people and rightfully so as some of the comments he has
made have been inappropriate, even more so since he is a prime candidate
to be president. He has garnered a lot of international attention and it may
actually be helping him in this race. Many people believe Trump as president
will have huge implications on the United States and the world. They say that
most of the relationships the United States have with other countries will
dissolve and that there will be a World War 3. Whether or not that happens
remains to be seen. With all the changes that are predicted with a Trump
presidency, it is the opposite for a Clinton presidency. If Clinton is elected, it
is most likely things will remain the same. The American people have a huge
choice to make on November 8th.
