Abstract: This paper deals with introduction to classification of building and structure and reviewing basic Engineering

mechanics and behaviors of structure or structural member loads or forces. Accordingly, structural modeling, supports,
connections, analysis, loads and combinations of loads are described. Structural materials and properties i.e. timber, steel
and concrete are mentioned. Elastic and Strength method including load factor, combination of loads, strength reduction
factor as well as serviceability are presented. Finally, conclusions and recommendations are drawn.
